The role of the public education and community
outreach is a pro-active, educational, informative
response to issues of sexual violence
These tasks are accomplished through workshops,
presentations, and educational material to educational
institutions, service clubs, businesses and
places of worship
Organizing community events such as International
Women’s Day and Take Back the Night
Developing literature, pamphlets and other
information tools
Organizing events within the organization
to increase awareness of our services
Organize a holiday basket drive, for distribution
in December
Develop ideas and organize community events

Establishing links with media sources and
maintaining a visible profile in the community
Volunteers are encouraged to participate on the Public Awareness
Committee to support ending violence against women and children.
