Women’s Support Network receives approximately two thousand calls on the 24-hour Crisis Line annually, responding to individuals who have been affected by sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, sexual harassment, date rape and any form of violence. The Crisis Line operates 24-hours/per day every day of the year.

The Counselling Program provides crisis counselling within forty-eight hours of the initial contact. WSN also offers 3 months or up to 6 months of ongoing individual counselling. The counselling program will also be offering workshops throughout the year.

The High School Outreach Program is a designed to provide support to any student in the high schools who has experienced some form of sexual violence. The program is currently operating in 14 schools in York Region.

Through our public education/community outreach program WSN provides education and awareness on issues of sexual violence, to schools community agencies, businesses, service clubs, community groups etc.

The Cross Cultural Women Unite Program’s goal is to empower and unite women from all cultures and communities. This program works towards a grassroot approach of women supporting women. WSN provides training and support to women around issues of violence against women. This ranges from culturally specific groups for young women in high schools and also adult women in York Region.
